Card Themes & Special Editions

Beyond rarities, some cards have special themes — Superstar, AVN Winner, Icon, and trait-powered Hybrid skins. Here's what each one means.

Most cards have a theme based on their rarity — Pink, Neon, Ultraviolet, Legendary, or Ultra Rare (see Understanding Your Cards). But some cards have a theme instead: a special theme that replaces the rarity look with a unique design.

Note

A theme changes only the look of a card. Its stats, rarity, and OVR stay exactly the same — themes are a flex, not a power boost.

The Icon theme is for iconic, legendary-status performers who have retired.

Hybrid themes (you earn these)

Hybrid themes are the one theme you control. They come from the Traits system (see Upgrading Your Cards).

Here's how it works:

  1. Equip two specific traits on the same card.
  2. The pair combines into a Hybrid — you earn a hybrid badge, and many hybrids also re-skin the card with their own exclusive theme.
  3. The hybrid theme shows while both traits are equipped. Remove one and the card returns to its normal theme.
Important

Equipping traits makes a card untradeable — it becomes a permanent keeper. So a hybrid-themed card is yours for good. Build hybrids on cards you truly love.
